VARIATIONS
- Enjoy this cocktail as a spiked watermelon margarita pop. Blend everything and blend until smooth. Pour into popsicle molds.
- If you don’t want to make it a non-spicy watermelon margarita, then substitute the jalapeno with other fruits that pair well with watermelon and can be muddled in as well – Try blueberries, mango, raspberries, or strawberries.
- Jalapeño simple syrup can also be used.
- Give the margarita an herbal twist. Toss a few basil, mint, or parsley leaves into the shaker when muddling.
- Instead of chili powder, mix the salt with freshly ground black pepper. Try dipping the watermelon garnishes in the salt-pepper blend for a tasty bite.
- If you don’t have fresh watermelon, you can use watermelon juice.

PIN for Later

I made this delicious cocktail because I had more watermelon that the container I was trying to fit it in would hold. So I used the extra and blended it in my ninja and strained it. It was so easy and yummy. I loved the chili and salt rim also. I used the leftover stuff in the strainer and made “adult popsicles”.
Thank you for the tasty recipe!
